Chocolate Factory

Despite Jeremy loosing his job, we decided to try and enjoy the time together, since we don't know how long it will last. So, we made a spontaneously trip to a chocolate factory. It was pretty neat to see the old machinery that made all the delicious chocolate. The kids had fun decorating a chocolate pizza and we all enjoyed tasting the samples.

Emory's latest funnies

After a nap one day, Emory came downstairs a little out of it still. He lifted up his shirt and began to scratch his belly like an overweight man. He said, "my tummy just needed a little tickles."

Emory is all about doing things himself lately, "because I'm a big boy!"  This includes waking up from his nap and changing out of his poopy diaper into big boy undies. At least he took out a few wipes to try and clean his bum. Unfortunately he didn't get all of it and got some poppy on the carpet. This kid.

Pumpkin patch in Prescott

Even though there are no changing tree leafs in Phoenix, we still try and enjoy fall festivities. We went to Prescott this weekend to join our buddies, the Buckmasters, at a pumpkin patch. We thought Prescott would be able to offer us the colors and feel of fall that Phoenix lacks. Although it was not as cool as we wanted it to be, it was still a beautiful change of scenery. The pumpkin patch had all that would be expected including hayrides, farm animals, pumpkin patches, games, music and corn mazes! It was a very successful way to kick off the fall season.
McKelle's wrinkled nose while saying, "cheese."

I finally put together where the idea of candy corn comes from after putting the kids in this big pit of dried corn. Candy corn conveniently has all the same colors as these dried pieces of corn.  Other than getting all in our shoes and pants, dried corn was actually very fun to play in!

We each found and picked our own pumpkins. Emory was very proud of his pumpkin.

He also had a great time getting "lost" in the corn maze.

The daddies, Jeremy & Roy, talking about careers.

McKelle did a pretty good job of keeping up with the big boys in the corn maze.
Off she goes!
Ignore the snotty nose. "What's in here?" Corn stock make great tunnels.

Love this picture. He's too cute!
These boys are fast! Elliot and I were just steps behind talking when all of a sudden the boys were gone! We split up and thankfully found them pretty quickly but they were certainly lost for a few minutes in the corn maze!
Emory loves these blow up toys.
Watching the goats together.

McKelle was not so sure about the sheep.
Mommy & McKelle feeding sheep, well mainly Mommy.
Emory had that big smile on his face the whole train ride. So cute.

Big boys on the ponies.
I'm pretty sure this was his second time riding a horse. I think the first time he rode a horse was this time last year.
This was also a fun horse swing Emory rode probably four times in a row.
