Emory's funny sayings

Emory has recently made a few funny comments that I want to share.

The other day in the bathtub I got out a small ball of ear wax from McKelle's ear. Emory said, "a little monster pooped in her ear?"  I think that's because we teased him saying a monster in his ear would eat his hair since it was getting so long (I wanted to give him a hair cut). I guess he took it seriously.

On our way to Walmart each week, we pass by a construction sight where they're building a Burger King. Last week while driving by Emory said, "that backhoe is making the king burger?"  but, when he pronounces "burger"  it sounds like "booger."  it was pretty funny.

This morning Emory was watching a show when out of nowhere he sighed and said, "what a day." Jeremy and I just looked at each other and started laughing.

Sunday walks

For the new year we now have early church on Sunday. It has changed our Sundays! The kids can actually come home after church and take a nap, we get some quiet time to reflect on the gospel  and we still have time to spend as a family. One thing we've been doing together is enjoying the perfect "winter" weather by going on walks and exploring the dessert. We're really lucky to have some beautiful dessert in our back year! We took a walk through Apache Wash trail, which is three minutes away from our house, and just loved the view! Emory of course loved it too because there was dirt as far as the eye could see. Arizona has definitely grown on us and we love to call it our home.

Mccormick railroad Park with friends

We took a trip to a rail road park with some friends the other day. This is actually the same park we went to for Emory's second birthday. It was pretty fun. They have lots of playgrounds, a carousel and a train ride. Although there were only three mommies to look after 11 kids, all the kids survived, barely (one toddle wondered off and was about to walk into a road when a stranger picked him up! scary!)

Dad rocking McKelle

McKelle was having a hard time falling asleep, per the norm lately, so daddy went in to hold and rock her for a little bit. While he was swaying with her, she'd slowly touch all around Jeremy's face. She found his eye and touched around it until she started to try and claw it out. After removing her hand she eventually repeated the process until this time she found his nose. She quickly stuck her finger in the hole before it too was pulled away. By this time Jeremy caught on and began to hold her hand down hopefully that would illuminate any distractions so she'd finally go to sleep. That worked for awhile until Jeremy's stomach started rumbling. With every sound McKelle would lift her head and say, "poo poos."  Jeremy realize this was not going anywhere and put her back in bed before leaving the room.
