McKelle's PreK screening
McKelle was tested today to be a peer mentor in PreK, which is what Emory is doing right now. They have a series of "test" they do before they can approve her as a mentor. They have pictures of different faces and ask "which one is happy? sad?" or "which cup is full? the biggest?" etc. She had to identify colors, stack blocks, color, cut, throw a ball and so on. After every tester was finished, (a speech therapist, psychologist, physical therapist etc) everyone of them said, "She's so cute!" It just made me smile. One said she was very impressed with how well she held the crayon and how well she colored and cut. She said it was beyond what they would expect from a three year old! They all thought it would be a great idea for her to be a mentor and passed her with flying colors! She's very excited to be in PreK like Emory next year! We just love our McKelle!
